As most of you know there has been quite a bit of controversy on the NZAFTA forum lately with Adam taking total control and creating havoc between members and indeed clubs.
There seems to be a more relaxed atmosphere since the new forum was started and positive comments thus far of " freedom of speech" etc is very relaxing indeed.
Also the news of Adam resigning from the forum was welcoming as now members will once again have the freedom to air any views on any matter without threat.
Im positive this forum was not meant to be a us vs them forum just an alternative for members to roam and share their views, and it is doing that just fine, the NZAFTA forum is still a great place to visit and Im sure it will be for many years to come.

I had noticed the Lack of a GS following Shaqa's Ban. Are there any details on this, as a lot of Shaqa's posts were deleted despite the fact that they were reflective of information about MaDAS as a club.

As far as Im aware all Shaqas threads were removed by Adam with a ban on MADAS holding a sanctioned qualifer this coming weekend, shame to penalise the club really.
He made a statement that as soon as the forum owner found a replacement he would move on.
But a good thing him resigning as in everything should be back to normal once again.

Interesting as the MaDAS shoot is still on the NZAFTA Calendar as being sanctioned. I never saw his message, just an absolute absence of posts by him.

Things went bad from when the calender was produced and now, if the MADAS ban on Adam was not lifted they told him he was banned from holding a sanctioned qualifying round.
That's just how bad things were getting out of hand but hopefully that's all history now and we can all move on.

I think its healthy for the air rifle community to have more than one place to post opinions - there being 'hawks and doves' and all that (reserved people and the more direct kind) Expecting everyone to play nice on the one sand pit is a bit unrealistic. Having a choice of where to post is a good move forward.

the 'other' new forum, the one the has been 'adopted' by NZAFTA has now begun the heavy-handed and closing of threads, and threatening members (like the tactics used in NZAG forum) when it is against the opinion of those that moderate it. Its a shame that both sides, or all opinions, cant be heard in a single thread instead of premature moderations being carried out. There seems to be a lot of followers, and a lot of FT shooter in the BNS.... happy shooting all...

Unless there has been a new club formed in the lower South Island I don't think the "Moderator" is involved in any form of FT shooting. I hope I am wrong because if I'm right then the "Moderator" may have been directed/ordered by others to intervene.

If that is the case briand1 then it is a highly moderated site then! Maybe the BNS is bigger than I thought lol...
